I saw some people do it, so I decided to do it too. Just like the time I jumped off bridge. Lame jokes aside, congrats to deviantart on turning 14. Your still a teenager for a long...long while.
I started around 6 years ago on a different account
Yeah, I was huge into wolves. Look through my favorites, they all are of animals and monsters of some sort. (there's a lot of hilarious stuff I used to like) I knew about the site for a while and I was obsessed at drawing wolves. I played a game called Furcadia very early on and went by the internetsona Ranelight most of the time and made friends with
and others who I've lost contact with.
When I found deviantart, I was overwhelmed at the skill that I saw at the time. I didn't know people could make images via computer. I was blown away at the work of
just to name a few.
Around this time I made friends with
and many more that I forget their names.
Time passes and my tastes changed, so I made a new account. I was at a low point in my life, and just starting to get out of it. I got bored of art until I saw
's work. Her work gave me a push to strive to be a better arist and I can't thank her enough for that. There was a feeling I felt from the way she painted/drew that I couldn't describe and I wanted to feel that feeling again, so I decided to get more serious as an artist. I drew every chance I got. (I was 14 or 15 at the time) and that was a super moment that I remember, I would be in my room chatting with people on skype/AIM and would constantly draw. I don't even remember what I drew I just remember drawing.
Around my Sophmore year I decided to take a local summer art program and there I made new friends from a different high school,
being one of them. If I had stayed at the current high school, I wouldn't know anybody anymore, all of my friends throughout high school were a year or two ahead of me so they would be graduating, so I switched to the other school. I learned a lot, and am glad I made the switch.
It was late junior year when I discovered MLP, I was obsessed to say the least. I told a friend about it and then it branched off from there. I feel like I started the MLP craze at my high school lol. Around this time I looked up to MLP artists because the characters from the show moved me a lot, my favorite being
Her artwork is gorgeous! I also made friends with
later as well as others (your names slip my mind).
Now I'm in college, only 19 still, almost 20. My taste in art has dramatically changed. I'm now trying to do more concept works and am looking at working "professionals" for my muse. I don't use dA much anymore for inspiration and whatnot. So, ya.
Onward to the future.
